Key responsibilities

  • Oversee budget governance, including pacing, spend caps, and billing reconciliation for your platforms.

Job description

Jellyfish is seeking a Senior Manager, Retail Media to serve as the day-to-day platform lead for Target Roundel and Criteo on a major, high-visibility household brand account. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role at the center of an account we are actively investing in and elevating: you will own campaign strategy, activation, and performance narrative across some of the most sophisticated non‑Amazon retail media networks in the market.

We are looking for someone who is fluent in self-service retail media platforms beyond Amazon, who can build and defend a point of view with clients, and who treats budget governance and operational hygiene as core to the craft, not an afterthought.

This role requires a high degree of self-direction. You will receive clear scope, priorities, and senior-level direction. From there you are expected to run your platforms end to end: managing your own workload, anticipating what the client and account leadership need before being asked, and escalating with solutions rather than open questions.

What You Will Own
  • Target Roundel leadership. Serve as primary platform owner for Target Roundel (Target Product Ads /self-service), including campaign architecture, budget pacing, bid strategy, keyword and targeting strategy, and tentpole event planning (e.g., Circle Week).

  • Criteo portfolio management. Manage self-service Criteo activation across Lowe’s, Costco, and Best Buy, including cross-retailer budget allocation, campaign structure, and performance analysis.

  • End-to-end ownership. Run your platforms and workstreams with limited day-to-day oversight: set your own priorities against account goals, maintain flawless organization across campaigns, budgets, timelines, and client deliverables, and keep stakeholders informed. You own the details so account leadership does not have to.

  • Client management leadership. Lead the full client management rhythm for your platforms, not just campaign execution: agenda-setting, status ownership, expectation management, proactive risk flagging, and follow-through on every commitment made in a client meeting.

  • Client-facing accountability. Present performance, insights, and recommendations directly to client stakeholders in weekly and monthly forums. You will be a trusted, credible voice in the room, able to explain what happened, why, and what we are doing about it.

  • Budget governance and financial hygiene. Own budget pacing, spend caps, flight dating, and billing reconciliation for your platforms. Proactively identify and elevate discrepancies (misbilled activity, platform outages, attribution gaps) and manage make‑good and credit conversations with retailer partners.

  • Cross‑retailer measurement and insight. Translate retailer‑specific results into a coherent cross‑retailer story: portfolio-level budget recommendations, incrementality perspective, and category/competitive context.

  • Retailer partner management. Build and maintain relationships with retailer partner teams (Roundel account leads, Criteo account strategists) to unlock betas, secure support, and resolve issues quickly.

  • Process and team leverage. Document campaign structures, naming conventions, QA checklists, and optimization cadences so the account runs on process, not tribal knowledge. Provide direction and quality control for offshore/execution support resources.

  • Planning and strategy support. Contribute to annual and quarterly planning, new product launch support plans, and test‑and‑learn roadmaps in partnership with account leadership.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience specifically in retail media. This is a retail media role: general paid search, programmatic, or paid social backgrounds without meaningful hands‑on retail media network experience will not be considered.

  • Hands‑on, in‑platform experience with the following, in priority order: (1) Target Roundel (TPA / self-service) - required, first and foremost; (2) Criteo self‑service - strongly preferred (3) Walmart Connect - a meaningful plus. Amazon‑only experience does not meet this requirement.

  • Exceptional organizational command: you run structured trackers, documented processes, clean campaign taxonomies, and a reliable follow‑through system. Nothing you own falls through the cracks, and you do not need reminders to close loops.

  • Proven self‑direction at a senior level: you have owned platforms or workstreams where you set the plan, executed it, and reported up, rather than waiting for task assignment.

  • A genuine understanding of what client management and campaign management actually are: owning the operating rhythm, managing expectations, connecting platform activity to client objectives, and leading the conversation rather than reporting into it.

  • Demonstrated experience owning client‑facing communication: leading performance readouts, defending recommendations, and managing expectations under scrutiny.

  • Strong command of budget management fundamentals: pacing, caps, flighting, invoice reconciliation, and spend/billing discrepancy resolution.

  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills; ability to move from platform exports to an executive‑ready story.

  • US‑based with availability to work core US business hours (Central or Eastern time zone preferred).

What Sets You Apart
  • Familiarity with Skai, Pacvue, or a similar retail media management platform is a plus.

  • Direct experience managing Roundel through a major tentpole event (Circle Week, holiday) at meaningful spend levels.

  • Experience navigating retailer credit/make‑good processes or platform outage remediation.

  • Experience working with distributed or offshore execution teams, providing clear briefs and quality control.

  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar).

  • Category experience in home care, home appliances, or durable goods is a plus.

  • Familiarity with retail media measurement nuances: attribution windows, in‑store vs. online attribution, and dual‑seat/duplication risks.
