Overview
The Manager, Talent Solutions (People & Development) will join an established team of legal recruiters as part of Consilio's People & Development team. Successful candidates must be highly motivated, exhibit a strong commitment to client service, and have the ability to collaborate with teammates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Manager, Talent Solutions is responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing, vetting, and professionally developing candidates. This role plays a key part in identifying fresh talent in the market, cultivating pipelines for both legal and legal-tech roles, and expanding high-quality candidate rosters to meet the evolving needs of tech companies and legal-tech clients.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Talent Solutions (People & Development) is responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and vetting candidates. Team members in this role are also responsible for building candidate rosters, networking in the legal and legal-tech communities, and assisting the Client Solutions team in the fulfillment of orders. The Manager, Talent Solutions will also:
  • Proactively source fresh talent in the legal market, including passive candidates, with a focus on emerging legal, technology, and legal-tech skill sets.
  • Build and maintain robust pipelines of specialized legal and legal-tech professionals, ensuring alignment with legal, corporate, and tech-industry hiring needs.
  • Strategize with New Business and Client Solutions teams to understand and fulfill client openings and associated requirements.
  • Interact with executives in corporate legal departments and law firms to understand opportunities, specific needs, and present viable candidates.
  • Assist in the management and growth of existing candidate relationships by continuing to understand the legal job market, client environment, and overall legal needs to ensure candidates match to the customer's needs.
  • Support New Business and Client Solutions teams to ensure clients receive a high-level of service and quality on assignments.
  • Serve as a trusted, expert advisor to clients on the legal talent community, legal-tech hiring trends, and broader job market dynamics.
  • Participate in both in-person and virtual legal, tech, and legal-tech networking opportunities to identify potential client and candidate opportunities.
  • Match existing roster and prospective candidates to client requirements.
  • Present candidate(s) to Client Solutions and New Business teams.
  • Prepare candidates for client interviews.
  • Engage administrative team to ensure employment or client and Consilio-required paperwork is completed prior to assignment.
  • Maintain an active relationship with candidates on and off assignment.
  • Verify all activities are documented in Candidate ATS (Bullhorn).
  • Professionally develop working candidates, including regular call and email check-ins.
  • Practice and adhere to the Consilio Handbook.
  • Work independently and proactively to meet aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment, including managing and prioritizing deliverables with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment and ability to handle multiple wide-ranging matters and conflicting deadlines.
  • Foster and facilitate teamwork by cultivating relationships, collaborating, and effectively communicating with teammates and cross-functional partners in the pursuit of team goals; shares information and supports others.
  • Exhibit the ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues quickly and effectively in a positive and practical manner.
  • Follow through to both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate strong critical and analytical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Exhibit an interest in learning a variety of tools, including proprietary systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree with Juris Doctor (J.D.) highly preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of legal experience, whether with a large firm, in-house and/or as a consultant in the legal services industry. Prior legal recruiting experience highly preferred; experience souring talent for technology or legal-tech roles is a plus.
  • Skills: Ability to assess talent, manage multiple priorities with attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous recruiting experience and Bullhorn or other similar ATS.
