Job description

Lead senior HR and business stakeholders through end-to-end HR transformation engagements — from discovery and current-state assessment through the design and delivery of future-state HR operating models and processes

  • Partner with HR leaders to support HR function strategy, service delivery model design, organizational structure, and transformation business case through structured analysis, facilitation, and delivery support
  • Design and optimize core HR processes — hire-to-retire, performance, learning and development — with a focus on efficiency, employee experience, and scalability to ensure end-to-end process integrity; payroll and time-related workflow experience is ideal
  • Support and lead HR technology advisory engagements, including HRIS vendor selection, implementation readiness, and post go-live optimization — serving as the voice of the business, not the configurator
  • Apply expertise across HR transformation engagements to assess current-state, design future-state processes, and prepare organizations for successful HR transformation and technology enablement; payroll and time/absence-related expertise is ideal
  • Contribute to people analytics and strategic workforce planning engagements, including workforce insights, reporting, supply and demand modeling, and workforce scenario planning
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and project teams that drive successful outcomes and expand Slalom's footprint
  • Contribute to HRT practice development including offerings, tools, thought leadership, and go-to-market materials; experience with payroll and time/absence is ideal
  • Help clients identify, prioritize, and implement AI-enabled HR use cases—such as employee self-service, talent acquisition, workforce insights, knowledge management, and HR operations—as part of broader HR transformation initiatives
  • Work across Slalom's Workforce Modernization portfolio — collaborating with Change Acceleration and Talent & Culture practitioners on full-spectrum workforce transformation programs
What You'll Bring
  • 5–8+ years of experience in HR consulting, HR advisory, or a related field with a strong foundation in HR operating model design, HR process optimization, or HR function strategy
  • Proven ability to lead discovery, design, and delivery across HR engagements — from CHRO-level strategy conversations to hands‑on process mapping and design workshops
  • Experience advising clients on HR service delivery models, organizational structures, and governance frameworks
  • Familiarity with the HRIS landscape — including platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, and others — and the ability to serve as a system-agnostic process and advisory partner during technology decisions and implementations
  • Hands‑on experience in one or more specialized HR domains, including payroll, time & absence, workforce management, HR shared services, employee experience, talent operations, or HR service delivery — including process design, assessment, or advisory work
  • An understanding of people analytics and strategic workforce planning concepts, with the ability to contribute meaningfully to analytics and planning engagements
  • Ability to work effectively across both business and technical stakeholders — translating HR strategy and operational requirements, and driving decisions on design and process
  • Experience contributing to practice development, thought leadership, client offerings, or delivery tools through personal experience and perspective
  • Strong project management and stakeholder facilitation skills with a track record of delivering high-quality client work on time
  • A background in HR, HR consulting, or HRIS — with familiarity across the hire-to-retire lifecycle, including payroll and workforce management processes
  • Experience advising business leaders on emerging HR trends, including AI and intelligent automation, with the ability to identify high-value use cases and guide organizations through adoption and change
  • A track record of mentoring junior practitioners and sharing expertise — through formal or informal coaching, knowledge capture, or contributing to team development
  • Comfort engaging in business development activities — identifying opportunities in delivery environments, contributing to pursuits, and helping position Slalom's HRT capabilities with clients
