Job Summary
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and hiring managers to source and recruit talent to meet AEP's growing and evolving organizational needs. Takes lead role to employ proactive recruitment strategies, mining for talent to create pipelines of qualified candidates in multiple geographic areas that meet the business unit(s) workforce planning needs.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Develops extensive pools of highly qualified, diverse candidates to fill current and future needs.
- Works with hiring managers to ensure accurate understanding of job requirements and expectations.
- Assists with research on the talent markets to determine the supply vs demand, competitor intelligence and best places to find talent.
- Builds applicant sources and implements creative recruiting strategies to attract qualified professionals by sourcing qualified prospects utilizing our digital online platforms that includes but is not limited to LinkedIn Recruiter, indeed resume database etc. Utilizes technology (for example, job boards, candidate tracking systems, etc.) to attract, identify, and communicate with possible candidates to encourage
interest in particular postings.
- Promotes a consistent Company brand to candidates and applicants.
- Sources and refers qualified candidates to Talent Acquisition Specialists for consideration.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
- Participates in innovative resource strategies - e.g., US Army PaYS and employee resource groups - designed to encourage diverse slates of candidates.
- Uses hiring and sourcing statistics to continually improve in making informed decisions.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
- Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred; or equivalent years of experience.
Five years' corporate experience in recruitment and placement of applicants in professional and management level exempt positions including 3 years of knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources.

Compensation Range:
$87,633.00 - $109,543.00
