Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing organization in Mount Vernon, NY, is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to lead and modernize learning initiatives across a diverse corporate and operational workforce.
Summary:
This is a highly visible opportunity for a hands-on L&D leader who enjoys building and scaling programs from the ground up. The role will support both corporate employees and frontline operational populations, partnering closely with business leaders to identify skill gaps, strengthen leadership capabilities, and deliver practical, scalable learning solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute an enterprise-wide Learning & Development strategy aligned with business goals
* Design and implement leadership and manager development programs, including onboarding, coaching, performance management, and talent development initiatives
* Build scalable learning solutions for corporate and frontline operational employees
* Develop e-learning, computer-based training (CBT), blended learning, virtual learning, microlearning, and self-directed learning programs
* Implement, optimize, and manage learning systems, including reporting, learner engagement, analytics, and compliance tracking
* Leverage AI, generative AI, and automation tools to improve instructional design, content development, training administration, and learner experiences
* Create learning materials including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, assessments, job aids, and digital learning content
* Conduct needs assessments, identify capability gaps, and recommend targeted learning solutions
* Create dashboards and metrics to measure learning effectiveness, engagement, retention, and business impact
* Partner with operational and safety teams to support workforce development and compliance-related training
* Evaluate emerging learning technologies and best practices to continuously improve learning programs
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, Learning & Development, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
* 5+ years of progressive Learning & Development experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
* Experience supporting frontline operational populations in environments such as manufacturing, distribution, logistics, transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, food production, or similar operational settings
* Demonstrated success building or significantly enhancing L&D programs and infrastructure
* Strong experience designing leadership development and manager effectiveness programs
* Hands-on instructional design experience, including e-learning, CBTs, blended learning, and digital learning content
* Experience implementing, administering, or optimizing Learning Management Systems (LMS)
* Practical experience leveraging AI-enabled learning tools, generative AI, and automation within workforce development programs
* Experience using analytics, dashboards, reporting, and workforce data to measure learning outcomes
* Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and project management skills
* Ability to influence and build relationships across frontline operations, management, and executive leadership
* Experience leading change management, technology adoption, and learning transformation initiatives
* Preferred: Experience within manufacturing, logistics, transportation, distribution, warehousing, fulfillment, food production, or other operationally focused industries
* Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
