REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. CDA or Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to plan activities for young children.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of the children.
  • Assume equal responsibility of the joint housekeeping responsibilities of the room(s).
  • Responsible for the arrangement, appearance, and learning environment of the classroom.
  • Assist the instructor in implementing the program for the students in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school.
  • Assist instructor with the organizational duties.
  • Take an active role in large and small groups, work-time (Plan-Do-Review) and all areas of running the classroom.
  • Take the lead in running the classroom when the teacher is absent and there is a substitute.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of field trips.
  • Attend all Professional Learning Communities (PLC), plan daily, parent orientation, Meet and Greet and professional development opportunities sponsored by the WBPA.
  • Have valid CPR and first-aid training.

Full Time, Monday - Friday
