Surgery Veterinary Technician Supervisor

BluePearl Pet Hospital in SW Portland is looking for a Surgery Veterinary Technician Supervisor with passion and the ability to help motivate, engage, and train a team of veterinary professionals!

Pay: $29 - $42 / hour

Pay is dependent on experience and determined by the Kahuna competency system.

Schedule: 4 days a week on a rotating A/B schedule working Monday-Thursday one week and then Tuesday-Friday the second week. Hours 7:00am-5:30pm.

As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you willโ€ฆ

  • Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
  • Coach team members to be continuously aware and proactive at anticipating and addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
  • Works with hospital leadership to organize tech and assistant meetings.
  • Organize training schedules for Technician staff.
  • Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution.
  • Provide feedback leadership and works to develop performance improvement plans.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
