Overview
As one of our first talent hires, you'll help build the coordination engine behind AfterQuery's hiring process. You'll work closely with the founders, recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates to make sure every interview process runs quickly, smoothly, and professionally.
This is a high-ownership role for someone extremely organized, detail-oriented, and excited to help scale a world-class talent function from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Own interview scheduling and coordination across the talent team.
Coordinate candidate logistics across recruiter screens, technical interviews, onsite interviews, final rounds, and offer processes.
Manage communication with candidates throughout the interview process.
Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure interviews are scheduled quickly and accurately.
Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS and recruiting systems.
Track candidate progress, feedback status, interviewer availability, and process bottlenecks.
Ensure every candidate has a high-touch, professional, and responsive experience.
Help improve recruiting workflows, templates, systems, and internal coordination processes.
Support the talent team with ad hoc projects as AfterQuery scales.
Help prepare interviewers with the right context, scorecards, resumes, and scheduling details.
  • Support recruiting operations, including:
    • Calendar management
    • Interview loop setup
    • Candidate follow-ups
    • Offer process coordination
    • Recruiting reports
    • Process documentation
Required Qualifications
1+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, people operations, executive assistance, operations, or another highly organized coordination-heavy role.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage many moving pieces at once without dropping details.
Comfort working with calendars, scheduling, spreadsheets, ATS systems, and recruiting tools.
High responsiveness and strong follow-through.
Strong judgment when communicating with candidates, interviewers, and internal teams.
Ability to operate in a fast-moving startup environment.
Excitement to help build processes from scratch.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience coordinating technical recruiting processes.
Experience at a high-growth startup, AI company, tech company, or recruiting agency.
Familiarity with technical interview loops and hiring workflows.
Experience using tools like Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Calendar, Notion, Linear, or similar systems.
Strong candidate experience instincts.
Comfort working directly with founders, executives, recruiters, and hiring managers.
Experience improving scheduling systems, recruiting templates, or internal process documentation.
