Job description

At Pursuit, we offer more than just a place to visit, we create opportunities for our guests to truly connect with iconic destinations. Our experiences include world-class attractions and distinctive lodges, all designed to highlight the unique beauty of each location. Beyond that, we offer thoughtfully crafted restaurants, retail, and transportation services that help our guests immerse themselves fully in the experience. What ties it all together are the friendly faces you'll find along the way, the thoughtful amenities, and the delightful details that make every visit feel personal and unforgettable.

Pursuit is seeking an International Programs & Internal Mobility Manager to lead two critical areas of our People strategy:

  • Own the partnerships and administration that support Pursuit's employer-sponsored visa programs; and

  • Develop and oversee programs that make it easier for Team Members to pursue opportunities across Pursuit's current and future geographies.

This role is Pursuit's internal subject-matter expert for international workforce programs, work authorization, and cross-border mobility. You will manage relationships with immigration counsel, program sponsors, agencies, and other external partners while ensuring individual cases and programs are administered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with requirements.

You will also help Pursuit build a more intentional approach to internal mobility by creating processes, resources, and support that enable Team Members to move between roles, locations, and countries as our footprint grows. This may include cross-border transfers, temporary assignments, relocations, and other mobility opportunities.

This role works closely with Operations, Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners, People Operations, Payroll, Finance, Housing, and Legal. It does not directly own recruiting or workforce planning but helps stakeholders understand available program options, requirements, timelines, costs, and risks.

Current employer-sponsored visa programs include:

  • BridgeUSA (J-1) and H-2B programs in the United States

  • International Mobility Program (IMP) and Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP), including LMIAs, in Canada

  • Other employer-supported work authorization needs for seasonal and year-round Team Members

Compensation: The salary range for this based role is $75,000/year to $95,000/year. This role is eligible for a 10% STI bonus. Pursuit offers a full suite of benefits, including flexible time off, a 401k/RRSP contribution matching plan, and discounts at our hotels, restaurants, and attractions.

What You'll Do

Visa Program Partnership & Administration

  • Serve as Pursuit's primary internal point of coordination for employer-sponsored visa and work authorization programs.

  • Manage relationships with immigration counsel, designated sponsors, international recruitment agencies, and other program partners.

  • Coordinate established visa programs and individual cases from initiation through work authorization, arrival, employment, renewal, and departure.

  • Maintain program calendars and track recruitment windows, application deadlines, arrival dates, visa expirations, renewals, and other key milestones.

  • Provide candidates and Team Members with clear instructions, documentation requirements, deadlines, and status updates.

  • Collect information and documentation required by immigration counsel, program sponsors, and government agencies.

  • Review materials for completeness before routing them to external partners for preparation or filing.

  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition once a candidate has been identified or selected; Talent Acquisition retains responsibility for sourcing, interviewing, selection, and offer management.

  • Partner with Operations and Talent Acquisition to communicate program eligibility, lead times, capacity, costs, and hiring considerations.

  • Monitor changes to immigration programs and requirements, working with legal counsel to assess impact on Pursuit.

  • Identify delays, exceptions, and compliance risks and coordinate the appropriate legal or operational response.

  • Evaluate program and vendor performance and recommend improvements in service, efficiency, cost, and the candidate and Team Member experience.

Internal Mobility Program Development & Support

  • Develop Pursuit's approach to internal mobility across its current and future geographic footprint.

  • Create consistent processes and resources to support Team Members moving between roles, locations, geographies, and countries.

  • Coordinate cross-border transfers, temporary assignments, relocations, and other employer-supported mobility arrangements.

  • Partner with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Operations, and business leaders to identify mobility opportunities and determine required support.

  • Help Team Members and leaders understand mobility pathways, eligibility requirements, timelines, responsibilities, and implications.

  • Develop practical frameworks for mobility-related support, including relocation assistance, travel, immigration, housing, payroll, tax, benefits, and onboarding considerations.

  • Coordinate with internal experts and external advisors to address employment, immigration, payroll, tax, and benefits implications of cross-border moves.

  • Support the integration of mobility considerations into talent planning, succession planning, career development, and internal hiring processes.

  • Build scalable mobility practices that can be extended to new countries and operating locations as Pursuit grows.

  • Develop resources, communications, and training to help leaders and People Team partners support mobile Team Members consistently.

  • Gather feedback and program data to evaluate the mobility experience and recommend improvements.

Compliance, Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate visa, work authorization, assignment, and mobility information in Workday HCM, including status and key dates.

  • Partner with People Operations and legal counsel to support compliance with applicable immigration, employment verification, recordkeeping, and data privacy requirements.

  • Maintain complete, organized, and audit-ready program records.

  • Develop reporting to monitor case status, program participation, deadlines, renewals, costs, and outcomes.

  • Establish appropriate controls and escalation processes for time-sensitive or higher-risk cases.

  • Provide regular program updates to People and operational leaders.

  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting for immigration fees, legal expenses, agency costs, travel, relocation, and other employer-paid mobility expenses.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Team Member Experience

  • Partner with Operations, Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners, People Operations, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Housing, and other teams to deliver a coordinated experience.

  • Clearly define responsibilities and handoffs among Team Members, leaders, internal teams, and external partners.

  • Translate complex immigration and mobility requirements into practical, accessible guidance.

  • Provide training and ongoing support to leaders and People Team partners.

  • Help ensure internationally hired and mobile Team Members receive timely, consistent information throughout their experience with Pursuit.

  • Balance building scalable programs with the detailed administrative work required to keep individual cases progressing accurately and on time.

What You Bring

  • Five or more years of experience in employment-based immigration, international workforce programs, global mobility, relocation, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of employer-supported work authorization programs in the United States and Canada.

  • Direct experience with programs such as J-1, H-2B, IMP, TFWP, and LMIAs.

  • Experience supporting employee transfers, relocations, temporary assignments, or other internal mobility programs.

  • Experience managing programs internally for an employer or supporting employer clients through an agency, sponsor, legal, relocation, or consulting organization.

  • Strong program administration and case-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail, documentation, and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex requirements into clear, repeatable processes and practical guidance.

  • Experience coordinating with immigration counsel, government programs, agencies, sponsors, and other external partners.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases, program timelines, vendors, and stakeholder needs simultaneously.

  • Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when an issue requires legal guidance, specialized expertise, or leadership escalation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, locations, and time zones.

  • Comfort operating in Pursuit's player-coach environment and moving between program development and hands-on administration.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-20%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a geographically dispersed, multi-site, seasonal, hospitality, tourism, or frontline workforce.

  • Experience developing or scaling internal mobility programs across multiple countries.

  • Familiarity with the payroll, tax, benefits, relocation, and employment considerations associated with cross-border moves.

  • Experience with Workday HCM.

  • Familiarity with high-volume recruiting technology, such as Paradox.

  • Experience developing program reporting, budgets, controls, and vendor-performance measures.
