Job description

Title:  Math Competition Coach (AMC 8/10/12)

Location: San Jose, CA (In-Person)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $75,000- $90,000+ annually + full-time benefits

Visa Sponsorship: H1B Available


Think Academy is building a serious math competition program in the Bay Area and is seeking former AIME qualifiers, USAMO participants, or top AMC performers to join our team. This is not a tutoring position. We are looking for individuals who have competed at a high level and understand competition mathematics from the inside - rigor, structure, and standards.


Who Should Apply
  • AIME qualification, USAMO participation, or AMC high distinction strongly preferred

  • Or proven track record coaching students to AIME

  • Strong command of algebra, number theory, combinatorics, and geometry

  • Ability to lead structured, in-person group classes


Job Description
  • Teach AMC 8/10/12/ Olympiad in-person group classes in San Jose

  • Train students toward AIME and advanced distinction

  • Contribute to curriculum standards and competition pathway design

High-performing coaches will have the opportunity to grow into Competition Program Lead or Academic Director roles.
