Job description

Rigid Tactical is seeking a highly skilled and Qualified ECS Medical Support TCCC Instructor to deliver critical lifesaving training to our nation's expeditionary forces. We are looking for technical experts in tactical medicine who possess the instructional prowess to prepare Navy NECC and NSW personnel for the rigors of combat. The successful candidate will be responsible for molding the next generation of responders through high-demand, hands-on instruction in a high-risk training environment. Employment is contingent upon contract award.


Position Details
  • Clearance: Secret
  • Location: Gulfport, MS.
  • Hourly Salary: $35.78 (H&W $5.09) = $40.87 Hourly // $85,009.60 per year
Required Qualifications
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-Basic or higher) certification.
  • Military medical background: Navy Corpsman (HM), Army 68W, or equivalent military medical MOS/rating.
  • Experience delivering DHA Combat Lifesaver/TCCC in a DoD formal schoolhouse environment.
  • Familiarity with NECC/NSW organizational structure and expeditionary combat operations.
  • Current TCCC certification in accordance with the latest Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) standards, per OPNAVINST 1500.86.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, within the most recent 5 years, in providing military first aid or emergency room/trauma center care.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an instructor delivering formal training.
  • Completed Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC, A-012-0077) or military/academic equivalent (e.g., Tidewater Community College MILT 5400).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory, classroom management, and instructional delivery methods.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (per DoD Manual 5200.02).
  • Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated NACLC background investigation and CAC.
  • Current Basic First Aid certification (AHA, ARC, or NSC — classroom-based; CBT does not satisfy requirement).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or NSC — classroom-based; CBT does not satisfy requirement).
  • Ability to pass medical screening per OPNAVINST 1500.75 (required every 3 years).
  • Drug-free; must pass pre-employment urinalysis screening at a DHHS-certified laboratory.
  • Completion of Bloodborne Pathogen training.
  • Ability to physically perform all training evolutions; must sign a Physical Fitness Statement of Understanding.
  • No domestic violence convictions (Lautenberg Amendment compliance).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver classroom and laboratory instruction in Basic First Aid and Defense Health Agency (DHA) Combat Lifesaver/Tier 2 TCCC (Modules 1-20) per the ECS TCCD (A-830-0030).
  •  Instruct comprehensive TCCC topic areas, including Care Under Fire, Tactical Field Care (TFC), Massive Hemorrhage Control, Airway/Respiration Assessment, Shock Recognition, and Evacuation Procedures.
  •  Lead TCCC-CLS Scenarios (7.25 lab hours) and manage Individual Skills Assessment Stations (5.25 test hours).
  •  Perform daily set-up and maintenance of all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) medical training aids.
  •  Proctor and grade student assessments in accordance with ECS academic standards; provide student remediation as required within training hours.
  •  Maintain strict student supervision during all medical training evolutions and comply with all CENSECFOR safety policies, Emergency Action Plans, and Training Time Out (TTO) procedures.
  • Complete CUIT certification for assigned lesson topics prior to independent instruction.
  • Maintain currency of all required certifications (TCCC, First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogen, UTP).
  • Assist in classroom/laboratory preparation and student administration to support the ECS Training Officer and Course Supervisor.
