Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team! As an EMT, you will be responding to emergency calls, assessing patient needs, and treating as necessary. You will also collect patient information, work closely with dispatch and receiving medical facilities, and create proper documentation for each call you receive. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, strong critical thinking skills, and works well in high-pressure or stressful situations. 
Responsibilities 
  • Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Quickly and effectively assess patients to determine the extent of the illness or injury and establish priority treatment 
  • Administer first aid and treatment to sick or injured people
  • Collect vital information from patients, and safely convey that message to hospitals or treatment facilities
  • Communicate with hospitals, treatment centers, and other EMTs effectively to convey treatment needs after patients leave your care
  • Maintain an inventory of medical supplies on your response vehicle, and resupply as needed
  • Continue to attend training sessions to maintain certification and keep up to date with new medical knowledge
