Familiarity with communication systems, target designation equipment, and relevant certifications such as JTAC qualification are crucial in this role. The pace can be fast and dynamic, requiring constant situational awareness and adaptability to shifting mission parameters. While some responsibilities vary depending on the specific mission or military branch, collaboration is always essential to ensure success and safety for all involved.
