Job Title: Sourcing RecruiterJob Description
The Sourcing Recruiter identifies, engages, and builds pipelines of highly qualified talent across a variety of business functions. This role acts as a talent market expert and strategic sourcing partner, using advanced sourcing techniques, recruiting technologies, and data-driven search methodologies to reach both active and passive candidates. The Sourcing Recruiter works closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs, develop targeted sourcing strategies, and deliver diverse, high-quality candidate pipelines that support business hiring objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage active and passive candidates through multiple sourcing channels.
  • Utilize advanced sourcing methodologies including Google X-Ray searches, Boolean search strings, LinkedIn Recruiter, social media platforms, professional associations, networking groups, and online talent communities.
  • Conduct talent mapping and market research to identify target companies, competitor talent, and emerging candidate pools.
  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Create innovative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill and niche positions.
  • Develop personalized outreach campaigns to attract top talent.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach and pre-screening conversations to assess qualifications, interest, and availability.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with prospective candidates to strengthen future talent pipelines.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the sourcing and engagement process.
  • Collaborate with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs, required skill sets, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Participate in intake meetings and workforce planning discussions to develop targeted sourcing strategies.
  • Provide market intelligence regarding talent availability, compensation trends, competitor hiring activity, and sourcing channel effectiveness.
  • Leverage Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing technologies to identify and track candidates.
  • Develop and optimize complex Boolean search strings and sourcing workflows.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and sourcing activity within ATS and CRM systems.
  • Analyze sourcing metrics to evaluate pipeline health, candidate conversion rates, and sourcing channel effectiveness.
  • Support employer branding initiatives through social media engagement and talent community development.
  • Represent the organization at networking events, industry conferences, career fairs, and professional association meetings.
  • Apply consultative skills to internal stakeholders to understand needs and recommend effective sourcing solutions.
  • Use value-added metrics and reporting systems to measure results and support the establishment of service level agreements with internal clients.
  • Continuously seek process improvements, challenge the status quo, and propose innovative approaches to enhance sourcing effectiveness.
  • Organize and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a role focused on direct candidate sourcing.
  • Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, and recruitment activities.
  • Experience utilizing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and related HR systems.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience or strong understanding of the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Boolean searches and advanced internet search techniques.
  • Experience in human resources and technical recruiting.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating onboarding activities.
  • Strong experience in a corporate environment implementing a wide range of recruiting programs and processes.
  • Proven track record of continuous process improvement and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience using metrics and reporting systems to measure results and support service level agreements.
  • Ability to apply consultative skills to internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with potential candidates to create future talent pipelines.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Experience sourcing both active and passive candidates through creative channels including networking, social networking, internet mining, and university relations.
  • 0-2 years of experience working with an Applicant Tracking System, HRIS, or related HR systems with an understanding of their capabilities and enabling functionality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and build respect with a broad range of business partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.

Work Environment
This role follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position operates in a professional corporate environment that emphasizes collaboration with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and other business partners. Work involves regular use of Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS platforms, CRM tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing technologies. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring adaptability to changing priorities and business needs while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
