Since our inception in 2001, we have built an excellent reputation for designing, manufacturing, and implementing creative training solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD), United States Marine Corps (USMC), and NAVAIRSYSCOM. Aviation Training Consulting, LLC is seeking a current or former USN, USAF, or USMC TAC C2/Air Battle Manager Subject Matter Expert (SME) to fill the role of a TAC C2-Air Battle Management SME to support the Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Distributed Training Center (DTC) in O'Fallan, IL (Scott Air Force Base). The TAC C2/Air Battle Manager SME will apply their operational knowledge of pilot doctrine, aircraft capabilities, and tactics to prepare realistic aircrew training scenarios and lead the execution of MAF Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Leads and facilitates mission briefings and debriefings as well as evaluates simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum proficiency. Collaborates with MAF Aircrew Training Device providers and our customers to determine exercise requirements that will enable the units to meet the MAF DMO Program vision to enhance Global Reach through a network of live, virtual, and constructive training capabilities. Provides operational and tactical level experience in integrated employment of MAF DTC core missions, with specific expertise in fighter employment and fighter integration. Expertise in sister service core missions may be appropriate and requested for training joint customers. Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Analyze and provide recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises.
  • Coordinate with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.
  • Analyze the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support DMO events and provide instructor level expertise to help shape tactical training for participants.
  • Compare, analyze and evaluate the relative merits of program designs and alternatives. Applies emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development.
  • Create and modify mission planning materials to ensure participants achieve maximum training. Assess the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.
  • Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems. Report issues related to stimulation software applications and provide basic troubleshooting support.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • 6+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 10 years relevant experience with High School Diploma
  • Current or previous TAC C2 experience, preferred within last 3 years.
  • Must be familiar with Air Combat Command (ACC) Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures for Air Control Communication (AFTTP3-2.8).
  • Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have Proven Leadership skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and oral.

Preferred Requirements
  • Previous or current Active Duty or Reserve TAC C2.
  • Instructor or Evaluator experience
  • Experience in planning and executing Large Force Exercise training events.
