Overview

The Account Manager will be responsible for supporting and expanding Kurita's business with TSMC in Arizona. This role focuses on developing customer relationships, identifying project opportunities, coordinating proposals, and supporting long-term business growth within TSMC's semiconductor manufacturing operations.

The employment will be with Kurita America Inc. (KAI); however, many Japanese engineers from Kurita Water Industries Ltd. (KWI) will visit the siteand officeon business trips.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Travel: Up to 10% Domestic

Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 plus Bonus

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with TSMC stakeholders in Arizona.
  • Serve as a key customer contact for sales-related communication, inquiries, and opportunity development.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities within TSMC semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
  • Support expansion of Kuritaโ€™s business scope from small-scale projects to larger integrated project packages.
  • Coordinate proposal development with engineering, project management, construction, procurement, and Japan headquarters teams.
  • Support quotation preparation, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
  • Support cost reimbursement and billing processes.
  • Maintain sales pipeline, opportunity tracking, customer information, and project forecasts.
  • Monitor TSMCโ€™s expansion plans, project schedules, customer priorities, and competitor activities.
  • Support internal coordination to ensure customer satisfaction during project execution.
  • In addition to equipment sales to customers, coordinate between internal teams, including the Design Team and Construction Team, customers, and business partners.
  • Contribute to strengthening Kuritaโ€™s long-term strategic partnership with TSMC.
  • Promote stronger relationships with local business partners and support the development of long-term partnerships.
  • Knowledge of water treatment is preferred but not required. The employee will have opportunities to learn through project meetings with customers and internal teams.
Other Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Customers will include American and Taiwanese stakeholders working at TSMC. Communication will generally be conducted in English; Chinese language capability would be an additional advantage.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into internal actions.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, construction, and procurement.
  • Strong follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Basic understanding of industrial projects, construction projects, or facility-related business.
  • No prior experience is required.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and international business environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to visit customer sites, project sites, and partner offices as needed.
Qualifications Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or customer-facing project coordination.
  • Experience in B2B sales or industrial customer support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in the semiconductor, industrial, EPC, construction, manufacturing, or water treatment industry.
  • Experience supporting TSMC, Intel, or other semiconductor-related customers.
  • Knowledge of water treatment systems, utility systems, wastewater treatment, or semiconductor facility operations.
  • Experience working with Japanese companies or multinational teams.
  • Experience supporting proposals, quotations, contracts, or capital project development.
Certificate and License Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Based in Arizona, with regular interaction with customer sites, project sites, and internal offices.
  • Office-based role with frequent customer meetings and site visits.
  • May require travel within Arizona and occasional domestic or international travel.
  • Requires coordination across different time zones, including Japan headquarters.
  • Fast-paced project environment supporting semiconductor manufacturing customers.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, project execution, construction, and management teams.
