Reporting Consultant

Charlotte, NC (onsite 3x a week)

1 year + contract

  1. Top 3 requirements: 
    1. Expert level Tableau (creating custom dashboards from scratch)
    2. Strong Power BI reporting

    4. Agile/JIRA

    3. SharePoint development (2013)
    4. ServiceNow experience

 Reporting : Role is accountable for Tableau\Power BI reporting visualization and analysis and may identify themes and trends at the function or product level.

Responsibilities:

•         Gather requirements, design, development, testing and deployment of data sets and Tableau dashboards, SSRS Reports, and ad-hoc reporting

•         Leverage advanced Tableau\Power BI capabilities (parameters, actions, tooltip, modifications, API etc.) to create analytical dashboards

•         Lead development of Business Intelligence solutions prototypes that demonstrate strong performance and usability to line of business stakeholders

•         Understanding of relational database structures and business objectives to extract from various source databases, normalization of data, and automation of processes

•         Write dataset builds in SQL or Hive in preparation for Tableau/Power BI Dashboard extracts

•         Write calculations in SQL or Tableau based on advanced queries

•         Collaborate with business contacts to understand data needs

•         Schedule, host, and attend all required meetings with punctuality

•         Proactively identify and interpret results in effort to communicate issues, risks, blockers to assignments and escalate areas of concern

•         Fully accountable for integrity of the data produced for assigned projects

Skills and Experience:

•         Must have advanced experience with the design and development of reports in Tableau and Power BI with multiple years’ experience

•         Advanced experience with data modeling and relational databases

•         Advanced experience in using tools such as SQL/SSIS/Hadoop/Oracle or Teradata

•         Advanced experience with SQL stored procedures

•         Experience working with incident management backend datasets – example ITSM, Maximo, or ServiceNow

•         Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills

•         Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team

  • Able to learn effectively and think critically to solve problems
  • Able to quickly build relationships with stakeholders and internal clients

•        Previous bank experience a plus
