Position Overview
We are looking for a Group Fitness Coordinator who is an experienced fitness manager and will be responsible for recruiting and training a team of fitness instructors at Crunch.
What You'll Do:
As a Group Fitness Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting and training a team of passionate fitness instructors to deliver a superior class and fitness experience. The GFC will get to know club members and become a part of their journey to ensure that their class experience and fitness expectations are met.

  • A fully staffed, high-performing instructor team delivering energetic, on-brand classes with strong attendance and member engagement.
  • Schedules and programming run smoothly, with accurate submissions, consistent coverage, and minimal last-minute changes.
  • Instructors are well recruited, thoroughly onboarded, clearly directed, and regularly developed, creating a positive, accountable, and growth-minded culture.
  • Class quality is consistently high, feedback and performance issues are addressed early, and solutions improve both member experience and team performance.
  • You are a visible club leader who embodies Crunch culture-collaborating with management, championing initiatives, and proving that high standards and positive energy go hand in hand.

About You:
Leading by example, you encourage collaboration while maintaining focus on results. You make rational, timely decisions while upholding performance standards. Communication is clear and helps maintain steady progress toward team goals.
You balance urgency with professionalism and read situations well. You demonstrate resilience and consistency in demanding environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Crunch Fitness Class-ic Training Program
  • Recruit, hire, train and oversee development of a team of Class-ic Instructors
  • Facilitate the implementation of new Group Fitness programming
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute regular, override, and holiday class schedules, ensuring all classes are covered
  • Facilitate sub procedures when needed
  • Create and submit all quarterly schedule changes to Group Fit Director
  • Respond to all member issues concerning group fitness classes/Class-ic training program
  • Manage payroll and reporting schedule, ensuring each instructor is properly paid
  • Facilitate the implementation of new Group Fitness programming
  • Provides seasonal inventory of all equipment to the General Manager
  • Manage quarterly staff meeting for onsite training and new quarter class roll out
  • Communicate cadence for weekly emails, monthly ZOOM with other clubs and in-house quarterly training with all instructors. Provide updates as needed for social media and instructor portal for any updates/events
  • Attend regular meetings in the club to align with the Club Management team on communication, events, instructors, and any issues.
  • Attend mandatory meetings on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and promote for instructor involvement as a role model
  • Actively teach 10% of group fitness classes

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience creating group fitness schedules preferred
  • Preferred experience teaching exercise classes for clients of all levels (ie bootcamp based classes, Kickboxing, Zumba, TRX, Sculpt, Yoga Pilates, Cycle, POUND, and HIIT)
  • Experience with budget and expense management preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Nationally Accredited Group Fitness Certification required (AFAA, ACE, or NASM preferred)
  • CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Physical effort required for daily duties include prolonged standing and walking

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor degree preferred
