Position: Main Bank Cashier
Department: Cage
Reports To: Cage Supervisor
Job Summary:
Responsible for meeting all required exchanges for all cages for the duration of the shift and assist the Cage Supervisor in overseeing the cage operations.
Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to):
  1. Balances assigned bank accurately.
  2. Makes exchanges for customers of currency, coins and money equivalents in a courteous and timely manner.
  3. Operates the main bank and reserve bank.
  4. Verifies all hard and soft count drops.
  5. Maintains a cash and coin reserve for cages.
  6. Develops cash and coin deposits for the Revenue unit.
  7. Handles all even exchanges from all cage windows, carousels, and change carts.
  8. Maintains an impress bank, ensuring the replenishment of all impress banks on the floor during assigned shift.
  9. Monitors the inventory team to meet even exchange requests.
  10. Oversees all cage exchanges on assigned shift.
  11. Assists cashiers in the performance of their duties, as needed.
  12. Prepares accurate and thorough departmental records and reports.
  13. Participates in the training of cashiers.
  14. Acts as Cage Supervisor when one is not available.
  15. Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.

  1. Knowledge of supervisory practices.
  2. Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including skill to perform the varied transactions cited above.
  3. Strong organizational, planning, time management, and interpersonal skills.

  6. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.

  9. Ability to pass a math test (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals).

  12. Ability to lift forty (40) pounds at a time.
  13. Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift.
  14. Ability to adapt well to the casino environment that involves large numbers of people as well as loud and continuous high noise levels.
  15. Ability to psychologically handle the concept of persons occupying an establishment for the purpose of gambling, drinking, eating, and smoking for long periods of time.

Mandatory Requirements:
  1. One year of high volume cash handling experience, including operation of a 10-key machine.
  2. High School Diploma or GED.
  3. Must have a track record of integrity and confidentiality.
  4. Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed.
  5. Must have employment eligibility in the S.
  6. Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.

Preferred Requirements:
  1. Previous casino Cage experience.
  2. Supervisory experience.
  3. Knowledge of tribal policies and procedures and Arizona Gaming rules and regulations.
