We are seeking experienced Cost Specialists / Cost Leads who have deep expertise from the Electrical Contractor (EC) world. If you have real world EC experience managing competitive bids, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and owning commercial strategy, we want to meet you.

This is a high impact role that will directly influence the cost competitiveness and execution success of our programs. Key Responsibilities As a Cost Specialist / Cost Lead, you will serve as a subject matter expert in electrical cost management, supporting our sourcing, construction, and program teams. Your responsibilities will include: RFP & Bid Management \tLead and administer end to end RFP cycles for electrical scopes \tPerform bid leveling to compare vendors, clarify gaps, and align scope \tSupport negotiations with data driven cost models and analysis Commercial & Supplier Strategy \tDevelop strategy decks summarizing vendor recommendations and sourcing direction \tDraft and collaborate on commercial agreements, terms, and pricing frameworks \tManage capacity reservations with suppliers for high demand or long lead materials \tOversee biannual and annual price updates, ensuring accuracy and alignment Material Strategy & Bill of Materials (BOM) Ownership \tUnderstand, maintain, and improve canonical / standard BOMs for electrical products \tPartner with procurement to secure materials aligned with project timelines \tAggregate and review material quantities for multiple job sites \tIdentify inaccuracies, quantity deviations, and procurement risks Cross Functional Leadership \tWork closely with preconstruction, engineering, sourcing, and construction teams \tServe as the “EC perspective” expert inside the organization \tAssist in vendor onboarding, qualification, and cost reduction initiatives QualificationsQualifications Required \tElectrical background, preferably hands on experience from an Electrical Contractor (EC) \t5 to 7+ years of experience in electrical cost estimation, preconstruction, procurement, or commercial strategy \tStrong proficiency with: \t \t\tRFP management \t\tBid leveling \t\tContract/commercial document drafting \t\tBOM interpretation and material planning \t\tSupplier capacity and pricing management \t \t \tExcellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills \tAbility to operate in a fast paced, high volume bidding environment Preferred \tExperience supporting data centers, industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial construction \tFamiliarity with vendor qualification processes and multi site material tracking \tAdvanced Excel skills or estimating software experience
