Job description

Description SAIC has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Resources Coordinator (ARC) to perform duties within the Aircraft Resources Group for Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems Combined Test and Evaluation Division (PEO IWS 1TE). Principal responsibilities include: Act as an ARC for the PEO IWS1TE Air Services Manager; develop and coordinate long-range military and Commercial Air Services (CAS) resource scheduling for aerial services including tankers, aerial transport, and aircraft tracking services; identify opportunities for PEO IWS 1TE aircraft cost avoidance or savings, and conduct day-to-day flight operations within the Air Resources Group at various supported sites. Specific Duties and Responsibilities include: Provide aviation expertise and guidance to the Program Executive Office Integrated Weapon Systems Test and Evaluation Division Head (PEO IWS 1TE) involving planning, scheduling, and execution of required aircraft services using both military and commercial assets. Conduct T&E event planning and liaison with NAVSEA Port Hueneme Division (PHD) Test Officers and Project Officers to ensure Military and CAS aviation services are efficiently and effectively budgeted, planned, scheduled and coordinated. Participate in testing including new construction and overhauled ship weapon systems against both land-based test sites and ships at-sea. Identify aircraft requirements, assist in the development of scenarios and flight profiles, ensure airspace scheduling, and be the on-site representative for all aviation related matters. Forecast and coordinate aircraft stores and flight clearances to support test and evaluation of Navy ship combat systems. Conduct project personnel and aircrew briefings, provide range operations and project officers with daily flight schedules, and the recording of flight data for statistical analysis. Participate as an ARC in T&E events as directed by IWS 1TE and while on location at the various T&E ranges. Ensure Aircraft Resources are executed in compliance with the applicable policies and directives to include oversight of fixed and rotor wing flight operations during the execution of T&E. Qualifications Required Skills: * Security Clearance Required: SECRET (minimum)
* BS and 2 years experience
* A minimum of 8 years as a U.S. Navy Pilot or Naval Flight Officer (or other military branch equivalent)
* Demonstrated ability to work in a complex Test and Evaluation environment within the Department of Defense (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, Air Force MAJCOM)
* Experience in T&E Aviation Exercise Planning and Execution, Range Operations, to include Foreign Military and multiple test and training range experience.
* Computer literacy (MS Office), technical writing proficiency, and excellent oral presentation skills.
* Ability to traverse from aircraft and ships at sea, up and down shipboard ladders/ decks
* Demonstrated experience briefing large contingents of active duty and civilian personnel.
* Travel: 25% Desired Skills: * Experience with fixed wing tacair (i.e., F-16, F/A-18, F-35)
