In this critical role, you will provide essential support to both Combat Systems and CVN Electronics Test Engineering. This position offers a fast-paced environment suited for a motivated and highly capable candidate. What You Will Do * Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. * Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. * Coordinates integrated testing activities. * Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. * Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations. * Responsible for the correct/accurate and timely scoping of AWP items during the planning evolution. * Active participant in Test Planning meetings. * Responsible for clearing government work and certifying final delivery requirements. What You Must Have * 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. * Candidate must possess or be able to successfully attain Electronics Test Lead Test Engineer (LTE) Qualification (CVN 78 or CVN 68 Class) within the first six months of onboarding. * Candidate should be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers. * Candidate should have good leadership skills and project management experience (test coordination, resource planning, budgeting and test scheduling). * Candidate must have an understanding of test requirements and ability to provide inputs for the Basis of Estimate (BOE). * Candidate must have excellent writing skills to write technical reports and perform the final Engineering Reviews of test procedures. * Candidate must have technical experience to direct, manage, and certify complex pier-side and at-sea combat systems testing. * Candidate must have an Active Secret Clearance. Bonus Points For Having! * Experience as a CVN CSMO or CVN Combat Systems Division Officer making critical decisions about manning, production goals and schedule for one or more of the following divisions; CS6 RADAR Division, CS7 Weapons Division, CS8 IC Division and/or CS9 RF Communications Division. * CVN78 Class qualification preferred. * Operational knowledge of U.S. Naval Surface C5I systems and Precision Aircraft Landing Systems. Physical Requirements Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
