Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Test Systems Engineer to support the Government in leading application, system, and integration testing efforts across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agency partners. This role is critical to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, mission-ready GEOINT systems through rigorous testing and evaluation within complex, enterprise environments.

  • Participate in the planning and coordination of Enterprise test events to validate system performance and requirements compliance
  • Utilize test management and defect tracking tools to document, track, and resolve issues
  • Support root cause analysis and technical investigations for defects identified during testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle

Location: This position is fully onsite in either Chantilly or Springfield, VA

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience: 4 additional years with no degree, or 2 years with a non-STEM degree)
  • 12+ years of experience in systems integration and testing within large, complex environments (e.g., systems-of-systems, SOA, cloud, on-prem, or hybrid architectures)
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Strong experience with Agile, traditional, and DevOps development methodologies and associated testing practices
  • Experience supporting NGA, NSG/ASG, IC, or DoD programs
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related STEM discipline
  • Experience with tools and technologies such as JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, GitHub/GitLab, or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, SQL, XML, JSON)
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or C2S
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and software development frameworks

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
