Job description

Is your Superpower in the "wizardry" of System Design and Management? Our world-class Lansdale Systems Engineering team needs your skills! We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead a talented group of engineers developing advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) solutions that support critical defense missions across air, land, and maritime platforms. In this role, you will shape technical strategy, drive program execution, mentor engineering talent, and help deliver innovative technologies that protect our customers and warfighters.
Our team designs, analyze, plans, and develop major subsystems and small-scale systems. Systems are primarily in the RF Electronic Warfare (EW) business area that includes Radar Warning (RW), Situational Awareness, Interferometry/Direction Finding (DF), Electronic Attack (EA), as well as Self-Protect RF Counter Measures (RFCM) including on-/off-board systems. The candidates will provide leadership for key project segments and take responsibility for achievement of schedule and technical performance by all department personnel.
The ideal candidate is a leader with a strong systems engineering background who takes a structured approach to development for project design, estimation, execution, and performance tracking. The individual must have a propensity to create designs and provide technical insight to ensure that designs achieve "best value" goals of meeting performance and life cycle requirements within allocated budget and schedule constraints. The team generates circuit analysis for system-level specifications or RF components based on performance, schedule, cost, reliability, and manufacturability goals. This could include any combination of technical research, test, documentation, and presentation. This role works closely with other engineering disciplines to help drive a strong engineering organization that delivers quality products on-time and on-budget.
Are you an engineering leader who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and developing high-performing teams?
Responsibilities

  • Guide systems engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture definition, integration, verification, and release.
  • Support proposal and capture activities through technical planning, architecture development, cost estimation, and work breakdown structure creation.
  • Lead trade studies and technical decision-making to balance performance, cost, schedule, reliability, and manufacturability objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, program management, business development, and operations teams to ensure successful program execution.

Strategic Impact
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the Systems Engineering organization.
