Job description

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop end-to-end models of complex systems to include architecture and behavior of the system using Systems Modeling Languages (SysML, UAFML).
  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop physics-based and mathematics-based models of satellite missions using commercial and custom Simulation tools, scripts, and macros.
  • Identify and implement modern digital engineering solutions to traditional engineering processes.
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) and Engineering working groups that will review and assess the maturity of engineering Artifacts, CONOPs, System Interfaces, and Architecture products.
  • Assist with decision support and technical consultation, meeting coordination, and leading the development of initial recommendations for Government decision-makers.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Required experience: 0-2 years with BS
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, operations research, engineering management, or related STEM degree program
  • Familiarity with industry space-based remote sensing capabilities
  • Understanding of basic Digital Engineering concepts
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong business acumen: ability to relate professionally inside the work environment
  • A passion for learning, helping others, sharing team knowledge, and contributing value to the mission in any way possible

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have (DESIRED):
  • Experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) tools such as Systems Tool Kit (STK)
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming languages such as SysML, UAFML, Python, C++, Java
  • Experience with Atlassian productivity tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket

There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
