Overview
How You'll Make an Impact
As a Business System Analyst, you will have an opportunity to be part of a data-centric team which is focused on providing technical solutions and strategies to achieve our client's digital marketing objectives using Epsilon's market-leading cleanroom - PeopleCloud Prospect & Discovery.
The Business Systems Analyst leverages their understanding of the ad tech space, technical capabilities, and knowledge of Epsilon's Cleanroom platforms to support actionable digital media strategies and solutions.
This role requires you to have both business and technical expertise and will need you to act as a primary liaison between the client, advertising agencies, technical product teams, and data science teams. You will play a key role within the Platform Delivery team and work across many disciplines within the SDLC - including requirements gathering / analysis, documentation, design, and testing. In addition, you will also be expected to work closely with the Delivery Lead to assist in on-time project delivery.
Responsibilities
What you'll do as a Business System Analyst (Ad-Tech)
  • Be part of a fast-paced and passionate team to integrate some of the largest marketers into Epsilon's Cleanroom platform -- PeopleCloud Prospect & Discovery.
  • Be the subject matter expert and client liaison while working with internal teams to drive the execution and delivery of key client digital initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Advertising Agencies, Data Science, Account Management, Client Development, Media Managers, Data Engineers, and Product Owners.
  • Be responsible for purposeful project documentation, including requirements, source-to-target specifications, process flow diagrams, data profiles, and test cases. Lead documentation reviews and gain acceptance.
  • Create traceability of all business requirements to functional and non-functional specifications to cover data onboarding (including warehouse processing), business rules, and end user use cases, e.g., digital campaigns, reports, analytical models / analysis, etc.
  • Analyze data quality and provide recommendations for change.
  • Drive product fitment analysis versus gap areas and create specifications for gap resolution.
  • Support the onboarding of multiple data sources to a client's cleanroom environment, with special attention to documentation, business requirements, data workflows, source-to-target specifications, needs analysis, and validation.
  • Leverage partnership with client services, product/data teams, data science, and relationships with clients to ensure business requirements are captured and met.
  • Become an insider and trusted advisor to client teams from a BSA perspective.
  • Host effective client meetings, understand deliverables, and drive successful outcomes.
  • Support developing and implementing best practices, standards and methodologies around business analysis and data analysis.

Qualifications
Who You Are
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant business analysis work in the database/ data-driven marketing space.
  • Experience in defining business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Experience in translating business requirements into functional/business specifications.
  • Understanding of relational databases, data warehouse, and data mart concepts.
  • Ability to assemble, analyze, and evaluate data.
  • Understanding of SQL concepts.
  • Curious with desire to continue learning.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and quickly change priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
  • Understanding of web technologies, a plus.
  • Prefer candidates with previous digital marketing experience, especially within the online display advertising space.
  • Prefer candidates with working knowledge of advertising technologies such Demand-Side Platform (DSP), Supply-Side Platform (SSP) and Data Management Platform (DMP).

Compensation Range: USD $63,600.00 - USD $118,000.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
