They are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support end users, manage help desk operations, and ensure the stability and security of core IT systems in their Rochester office.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of both physical and virtual server environments.
• Manage identity and access systems using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory, ensuring secure and optimized user experiences.
• Oversee the deployment and management of devices and applications through Microsoft Intune, including MDM and endpoint compliance strategies.
• Oversee and resolve IT support tickets with a focus on efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Provide expert-level support to end users for hardware, software, and system issues.
• Develop and refine documentation processes, ensuring a robust knowledge base for recurring issues and solutions.
• Take point on the installation, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting of server hardware and network equipment.
• Implement proactive maintenance routines and hardware upgrades to sustain and improve system performance.
• Manage and support on-premise infrastructure, including printers, switches, and storage systems, ensuring seamless integration with IT operations.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or relevant field, plus 5+ years of progressive experience in systems administration or IT support roles. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Deep technical expertise with NTFS permissions, DFS, DHCP, DNS, GPO, and Hyper-V administration.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) and Intune in a business environment.
• Extensive hands-on experience managing Windows servers and advanced hardware troubleshooting.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Outstanding communication skills and a strong customer service focus, with experience in leading technical support teams.
• Ability to travel to our other worksites (Tampa, FL and Fort Lauderdale, FL) on a quarterly basis.
Preferred:
• Demonstrated experience with PowerShell or scripting languages for automation.
• Relevant certifications preferred, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems.
