Job Description
Position: Engineer IIII
SAIC is seeking an Engineer III to support the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This position is responsible for systems Test and Evaluation on the Ground - Based Air Defense (GBAD) and Multi-Function Electronic Warfare systems (MFEW). Both systems represent a modernization effort aimed at protecting Marines from air threats, specifically unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), cruise missiles, and aircraft. GBAD program aims to detect, track, identify, and defeat adversary air threats. It is focused on accelerating the delivery of counter-UAS (C-UAS) technology to Marines. The MFEW system is a crucial, rapidly deployed tool for electronic warfare (EW), often used to support the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF). The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in leading the continuum of the test and evaluation strategy and execution of testing procedures. You will be working onsite in a fast paced and dynamic environment where teamwork and collaboration are essential. SECRET to CLEARANCE Requirement: Interim Secret to start. Continued employment contingent upon favorable final Secret clearance.
Engineer IIII will be responsible for the following:
  • Lead development of Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP) and strategies.
  • Oversee end-to-end test execution (DT/OT, integration, field testing).
  • Define test objectives, success criteria, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Perform and oversee advanced data analysis and performance assessment. Identify system risks and provide mitigation recommendations.
  • Serve as primary interface with government customers (e.g., PMA, NAVSEA/NAVAIR).
  • Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables.
  • Support milestone decisions, certification, and fielding recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
  • 7-12 years experience leading test efforts or teams
  • Strong understanding of Systems engineering lifecycle
  • Requirements verification & validation
  • Test methodologies and evaluation techniques
  • Experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle (Milestone A/B/C, IOC/FOC)
  • DAWIA certification in T&E or Systems Engineering
  • Active security clearance
  • Experience briefing senior leadership and government stakeholders

Education:
Master's level degree in any engineering discipline
