Job description

Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a talented System Layout Professional to join our team!
Responsibilities
  • Report to the System Layout Lead
  • Virtually place automated robotic systems in a manufacturing facility using CAD software, including FactoryCAD
  • Develop comprehensive zone and system layouts to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Ensure proper placement and reach of automotive and automated robotic systems to maximize efficiency and safety
  • Collaborate with other areas of the team, including processing, robotic simulation, and design, to ensure seamless integration of systems
  • Occasionally travel to customer facilities to provide on-site support and ensure successful implementation of layouts

Qualifications
  • Experience in System Layout or Plant layout, preferably with automated robotic systems
  • Experience designing utilizing AutoCAD 3D or 2D
  • Familiarity with FactoryCAD
  • Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player with strong collaborative skills
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads
