Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5

What work will you perform?

You will be part of a team of Sr. Systems Engineers that supports and monitors mission critical infrastructure and web/mobile applications based on prem and in the cloud. Providing highest levels of availability, performance, and security in multiple technologies such as Microsoft, Linux, Azure, Google, Kubernetes, Office365, etc.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of Production and Disaster Recovery environments
  • Responsible for management of non-production environments for development and performance testing.
  • Responsible for the maintaining and troubleshooting resources on premise and cloud hosted infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain system performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamcis, HostMon, and Azure and Google Monitors.
  • Responsible for OS and application upgrades or migrations.
  • Responsible for application deployments using DevOps CICD Pipelines to lower environments promoting up to Production.
  • Available for 24 hour On-Call rotation and for escalated incidents and alerts
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Experience and Education:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud solutions
  • 2 years of experience monitoring and troubleshooting Windows
  • 3 years of experience monitoring and troubleshooting Linux
  • 3 years of experience with monitoring applications such AppDynamics or Cloud Monitors
  • 3 years of experience with building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters

Preferred Experience and Education:

  • Experience with Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle
  • Experience writing script using Ansible
  • Experience with message queuing applications
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Github

Technical Skills:

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting Azure, Oracle and Google cloud infrastructure.
  • Building, maintaining and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
  • Building, maintenance and troubleshooting with Windows and Linux OS.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting systems and applications in multiple environments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Azure pipelines, CICD processes and build and release deployments.
  • Ability to write complex scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible (desired), etc.
  • Knowledge with load balancing technologies such as F5 or Azure load balancers.
  • Ability to manage Office365 applications such as SharePoint Online, OneDrive, PowerBI, etc
  • An Understanding of message queuing applications like RabbitMQ (desired)
  • Ability to troubleshoot web-based applications tools such as developer's tools, Fiddler, etc.
