The Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA) is responsible for the configuration, monitoring, support and administration of the Epic Client Systems infrastructure. The Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA) will help to maintain and support the client systems and servers supporting our customers.  High level tasks include support of Interconnect, MyChart, Hyperspace Web, Printing, and other Client Systems.  

The Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA) must be a self-motivated individual with exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in team environments.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain the various Client Systems modules
  • Engage in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources like RAM, CPU, and storage
  • Monitor client server size, health, and performance
  • Apply updates to production and non-production environments
  • Follow vendor and Epic best practices for hardware and software configuration
  • Respond to emergency after-hours issues
  • Collaborate with technical teams and Epic support

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification in Epic Client Systems Administrator: Hyperspace Web and Interconnect at a minimum
  • 5 years of experience in Epic Client System Administrator role
  • 3 years of experience with maintaining Client Systems in a healthcare environment
  • 3 years of experience must include implementation of strategies to improve performance and uptime levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the Microsoft Windows server administration
  • Expertise in your chosen virtualization platform such as Citrix XenServer, VMware ESXi, or Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Experience with hardware or software load balancing solutions such as F5 Big-IP or Citrix Netscaler
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) administration
  • Network protocols and functionality including TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain Name Services, FTP/SCP, and HTTP
  • Certificate Management
  • Epic Client Systems Administrator: BLOB, Business Continuity Access, and Printing
  • Epic Client Systems Administrator: Care Everywhere
  • Epic Client Systems Administrator: Hyperspace
  • Epic Client Systems Administrator: Hyperspace Web and Interconnect

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
