Job Description

Youll analyze traffic operations and impacts, develop signal timing and design plans, perform multimodal evaluations, and prepare supporting technical documentation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform traffic impact studies, and capacity analyses for intersections, corridors, and roadway networks.

  • Analyze traffic operations using tools such as Synchro, HCS, VISSIM or similar software.

  • Develop and review traffic signal timing plans, phasing diagrams, and traffic signal design plans.

  • Conduct multimodal analyses for vehicles, pedestrian, bicyclists and transit.

  • Prepare technical reports, exhibits, and design documentation.

Youll thrive here if you have

  • A 4-year degree in civil engineering

  • 3+ years of experience

  • Ability to obtain PTOE

  • PE preferred, but not required

  • Ability to write reports

  • Familiarity with Windows suite, Syncro, VISSIM, and other traffic software packages

  • Knowledge of MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, AASHTO Guidelines FHWA Regulations & Guidance, ADA Standards (PROWAG & ADAAG), GDOT Traffic Signal Design Guidelines, GDOT Signing and Marking Design Guidelines, GDOT Driveway manual, GDOT Design Policy Manual, Roundabout Design Guide and GDOT Construction and Standards

  • Minimal travel involved, mostly in Georgia

  • Membership and participation in Georgia Section ITE is desired.
