Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough crisis assessments to identify immediate risks and form appropriate intervention strategies for clients in distress.
• Provide empathetic and timely counseling to individuals facing mental health emergencies, ensuring they receive the necessary support to stabilize their situation.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams to ensure client safety during critical incidents.
• Deliver follow-up assessments and care plans that provide continuous support while recommending additional resources or treatment options as needed.
• Utilize advanced crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation procedures when working with clients in high-stress situations.
• Regularly engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and stay updated on the latest crisis counseling methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mental health crises, including but not limited to addiction issues, trauma-related difficulties, and general emotional distress. Our diverse client base ranges from young adults to older populations, each requiring tailored approaches that take into account their unique backgrounds and circumstances. Your role will be critical in establishing safe therapeutic relationships and empowering clients towards recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
• Proficiency in executing evidence-based crisis intervention techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively connect with clients in distress.
• Demonstrated ability to approach clients with cultural sensitivity and empathy.
• Comprehensive understanding of crisis management, prevention strategies, and therapeutic protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Additional training or certification in trauma-informed care and crisis counseling methodologies is highly desirable.
• Experience specifically in providing counseling services to clients dealing with substance misuse crises.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth platforms to streamline client intake and documentation processes.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience, and may include opportunities for salary adjustments based on skills development and contributions to the team. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
