ย Programmer Analyst II | Location: 11149 Research Blvd, Austin, TX, 78759| Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm | Salary Range: $70,000-$87,500 | FLSA Status: Exempt

What You'll DoCore System Administration & Development
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and configure the Symitar system to ensure availability for members, end-users, and critical service providers.ย 
  • Develop, modify, and maintain Symitar core banking applications and utility programs, including SymXchange API, PowerOn, PowerFrame Docs/MicroApps, and OpCon.ย 
  • Identify system inefficiencies and implement improvements to optimize core performance and related services.ย 
  • Administer and support automation, optical, teller capture systems, SymConnect/SymXchange operations, and Symitar front/back-end applications.ย 
Technical Support & Issue Resolution
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Symitar and other critical applications through the help desk.ย 
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex application support needs.ย 
  • Identify problems and determine corrective actions, including developing custom programs when appropriate.ย 
  • Collaborate with vendors to implement new software, troubleshoot issues, and support organizational initiatives.ย 
Quality Assurance & Documentation
  • Review code for quality assurance and ensure development aligns with SDLC methodologies, programming principles, and best practices.ย 
  • Maintain accurate technical and procedural documentation for supported systems and applications.ย 
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior-level staff.ย 
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support system needs and project initiatives.ย 
  • Participate in required AML/BSA compliance training.ย 
  • Provide on-call support as necessary.ย

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experienceย 
  • Three to five years of experience with software developmentย 
  • Proficiency in PowerOn and HTML/CSS3/JavaScriptย 
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (waterfall or agile)ย 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsย 
  • Ability to multitask, follow through, and meet aggressive deadlinesย 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and off-hours as needed for month-end, quarter-end, and system processingย 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively on cross-functional teamsย 
  • Requirement to work nights, weekends, and/or off-hours, with minimal supervision. Month-end (ME) and quarter-end (QE) processing, including statement generation and reports, updates, etc., will require a flexible work schedule.ย 
Preferred Experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL, C#, Java, or other programming languagesย 
  • Knowledge of operating systemsย 
  • Knowledge of relational database management systemsย 
  • Prior experience with credit union operations (IT, Accounting, Member Services, Operations, Lending, Audit, Marketing, Fraud, Collections, day-end/month-end/year-end)ย 
  • Experience supporting Symitar-related systems, automation tools, or teller capture systemsย 
  • Experience collaborating with vendors on software implementation or troubleshootingย
