Job Description:Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence

Location: Palo Alto, CA or Austin, TX or Burlington, Mass - In Office

We're seeking a motivated and creative Competitive Intelligence Product Marketing Manager to join the ESG product marketing team supporting the Symantec and Carbon Black brands. This role requires an adaptability to seek out success in a non-traditional go-to-market model, helping shape competitive programs for our Catalyst partner network and internal account teams.

Core Deliverables

  • Battlecards: Dynamic, automated guides for specific competitors and product lines.

  • Compete Kits: Comprehensive resource bundles for core product areas (e.g., Endpoint Security, Network Security, DLP, App Control) to simplify sales enablement.

  • Positioning Guides: Technical content designed to highlight strategic value and product differentiation.

  • Market Intelligence Updates: Actionable insights based on market movements and competitive news.

  • Sales Enablement Training: Recorded and live sessions to coach field teams and partners on competitive positioning.

  • Strategic Deal Support: On-demand, customized research and guidance for key renewals and new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Competitive Enablement Content:
    Develop high-impact enablement content, including technical battlecards and positioning guides, that helps sellers focus on strategic value and product differentiation.

  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights:
    Monitor market movements and translate competitive news into actionable insights for sales, marketing, and product management teams to inform roadmap decisions.

  • Field & Partner Training:
    Conduct regular competitive enablement sessions and live training for Partners and internal field teams of varying technical aptitudes.

  • Strategic Deal Support:
    Provide on-demand deal support and custom competitive guidance for successful renewals of strategic accounts and new business acquisition.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • 7-10+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, or an adjacent field.

    • Proven success in launching and marketing B2B enterprise security solutions.

  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Deep passion for competitive problem solving and familiarity with the cybersecurity landscape (e.g., Zero Trust, DLP, Endpoint Security and XDR).

  • Skills:

    • Exceptional ability to up-level technical content into conversational and succinct positioning.

    • Highly adaptable and comfortable working with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear and compelling narratives.

    • Proficiency in prompt engineering and AI productivity applications to automate CI research tasks, model competitive scenarios, and streamline cross-functional insight distribution.

    • Proficiency with marketing tools, CRM platforms, and analytics.

  • Collaboration:

    • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product management, sales, engineering, and marketing teams.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a technical field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Broadcom's cybersecurity solutions or equivalent enterprise-grade security products.

  • Experience working with global teams and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits


The annual base salary range for this position is USD 137,500.00 To USD 220,000.00

As a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth. All subject to relevant plan documents and award agreements.
