Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst, TV Networks will report to the Senior Manager and play a key role in workforce planning, headcount forecasting, and Compensation & Benefits (C&B) analysis across MS NOW, CNBC, Golf Channel, USA, E!, SYFY, and Oxygen. This position partners closely with Finance, HR, and business leaders to deliver actionable financial insights that support strategic decision-making, resource planning, and operational performance across the TV Networks portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Support workforce planning and labor cost forecasting across the TV Networks portfolio, including monthly pacing, quarterly estimates, annual budgets, and long-range planning.
  • Consolidate and analyze financials, providing insights into key drivers, risks, opportunities, and budget-to-actual variances.
  • Maintain and enhance models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support accurate forecasting and informed decision-making.
  • Own the monthly close process for Compensation & Benefits (C&B), including journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger management, and partnership with Controllership.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to evaluate hiring plans, organizational changes, and resource allocation decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver reporting and analysis on headcount, compensation, benefits, and workforce trends to Finance and business leadership.
  • Support free cash flow planning, ad hoc analyses, and strategic initiatives in partnership with Corporate FP&A.
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and finance transformation initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, operational finance, or accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and scenario analysis (Power Query a plus).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Prior experience in media, streaming, or direct-to-consumer businesses.
  • Familiarity with SAP, BW, BPC, or similar financial systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfort with a culture of adaptability with continuous refinement of roles and processes.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Must be willing to work in the New York, NY office.  
  • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
  • Salary Range:  $75,000 - $90,000
