Overview
Location: East of Pittsburgh, PA
Job Type: Full Time/Permanent
Work Authorization: No sponsorship or 3rd parties
The A.C.Coy Company has an immediate need for multiple Field Service Technicians for a full time role. This role will require traveling to client sites to support installation, maintenance, and repairs.
Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Willing to work overtime (including weekends) as needed
  • Required to travel to perform field service assignments as directed by management
  • Create and maintain field service reports and documentation
  • Maintain service equipment, general housekeeping and warehouse activities including loading and offloading of material, cleaning work areas, and keeping field service equipment organized
  • Maintain communication with customers, employees, and management.

Qualifications
Education: 2 year associate or a specialized degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Electrical/Mechanical Technology or 3 years' related experience working in substations or a switchgear manufacturing facility.
  • 3 years' experience working in substations or a switchgear manufacturing facility
  • Experience supporting, installing, commissioning, performing maintenance and repairs of MV and HV Switchgears
  • Ability to read and interpret AC and DC schematic drawings
  • Experience in wiring, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical
  • Experience using cranes and forklifts
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to use common hand tools
  • Basic computer skills, Microsoft office products
  • Ability to obtain a passport and be willing to travel out of country on rare occasions
  • Be able to pass a random drug and alcohol test
  • Willing to travel 30%
