Job description

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Plant Manager who is responsible for managing operations within a complex industry. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented team player with strong analytical skills, a process improvement mindset, detail orientation, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Location: Onsite - Bessemer, Alabama

What You’ll Do

Assist with overseeing policies, procedures and processes designed to minimize costs and maximize production

  • Manage production control and methods, maintenance, cost accounting, supply/logistics, distribution, manufacturing and other tasks associated with plant management
  • Ensure that plant operations comply with the appropriate safety standards and regulations
  • Prepare and maintain plant budgets
  • Draft reports regarding plant operations and maintenance
  • Ensure that organizational production expectations are met
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices
  • Perform complex tasks
  •  Lead and direct the work of other employees
  • Has full authority for personnel decisions and may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning and procedural change
  • Typically require a bachelor's degree and 7 or more years of experience 

Competencies/Skills

  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, MS Office suite
  • Strong analytical skills with a high-level of attention to detail and business process
  • Strong skills in developing and presenting performance metrics reports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with others
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data
  • Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including preparing and presenting information
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed as needed
