PROLIM (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking a Engineer Electrical 3 for one of our top clients, Northrop Grumman,Sunnyvale, California.(100% Onsite)
 
This role is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer with strong expertise in 2D/3D Electromagnetic Finite Element Analysis (EMFEA) of generators, motors, or rotating electrical machines. The selected candidate will perform a detailed peer review of electromagnetic models, analysis results, and technical reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, traceability, and reproducibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm that the final model is consistent with the approved analysis approach.
Tasks: 
  • Identify and assess deviations from the approved approach, including documentation and justification.
  • Review model setup, including:
  • Geometry and configuration against engineering drawings
  • Material definitions, including B-H curves
  • Winding and excitation definitions
  • Boundary conditions
  • Motion setup
  • Mesh controls and mesh adequacy
  • Solver settings, including time stepping
  • Review analysis results to confirm:
  • Appropriate comparison of 3D results with 2D and test results
  • All required operating points were evaluated
  • Reported results correspond to the correct run cases
  • Plots and tables are traceable to source runs
  • Conclusions are adequately supported by the analysis
  • Review technical reports for clarity, completeness, accuracy, and reproducibility.
  • Provide clarification questions, technical review comments, and recommendations.
  • Identify potential corrections, improvements, or deficiencies in the analysis and reporting.

  • Experience reviewing electromagnetic models for technical quality and reproducibility
