The Opportunity

The Switchboard / RMU Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as the technical authority for low- and medium-voltage switchboards, switchgear lineups, and Ring Main Unit (RMU) systems integrated into Integra Mission Critical’s modular power platforms.

What you will do?

  • Serve as enterprise-level technical expert for:
    • Low-voltage switchboards and switchgear
    • Medium-voltage switchgear and distribution
    • Ring Main Units (RMUs)
    • Bus systems and distribution assemblies
  • Develop and maintain electrical distribution design standards and specifications.
  • Define standard breaker configurations, bus ratings, fault duty requirements, and redundancy strategies.
  • Establish arc-flash mitigation and protection coordination standards.
  • Ensure alignment with NEC, UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE, and applicable medium-voltage standards.
  • Partner with Product Engineering to standardize switchboard and RMU platforms for modular deployment.
  • Define scalable configurations that support rapid manufacturing and repeatable installation.
  • Review and approve equipment layouts, bus bracing, compartmentalization, and accessibility considerations.
  • Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining system reliability and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in switchgear, switchboard, or medium-voltage distribution system design.
  • Strong background in protection coordination and power system analysis.
  • Experience supporting energization and commissioning in mission-critical or industrial environments.
  • Deep knowledge of NEC and relevant UL/IEEE standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in data centers, utility interconnection, healthcare, or industrial facilities.
  • Experience with modular or prefabricated power infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with digital relays and power monitoring systems.
