Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring an experienced Swing Reach Operator for a 3PL warehouse in Houston, TX. This is a temp-to-hire afternoon shift position paying $17.00/hr. In this role, you will operate a swing reach (turret) forklift to transport and store inventory, perform put-away of inbound product into designated rack locations, and scan and verify inventory using a PDA/RF scanner. Overtime is available as needed.


Pay:$17.00/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM; overtime as needed

Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Environment: Warehouse


Responsibilities

  • Operate a swing reach (turret) forklift to move and store inventory throughout the warehouse, including high rack locations.
  • Retrieve inventory from elevated rack storage to fulfill replenishment needs.
  • Use a PDA/RF scanner to receive, locate, transfer, and verify inventory in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Verify product quantities, labels, and storage locations to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assist the receiving team with unloading, staging, and organizing inbound shipments.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any safety or maintenance issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ year of swing reach (turret truck) operating experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using a WMS (Warehouse Management System) for inventory transactions.
  • Familiarity with cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock reconciliation.
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights while operating material handling equipment.
  • Experience in a 3PL or high-volume distribution warehouse environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
  • Previous warehouse receiving and put-away experience.
  • You may be a great fit if you've held any of these titles: Swing Reach Operator, Turret Truck Operator, Reach Truck Operator, Forklift Operator, Warehouse Receiver, Put-Away Operator, Inventory Control Associate, Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, Order Selector.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a warehouse environment.
  • Must pass a drug screen.
