Position Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of materials in and out of the warehouse, ensuring all goods are accurately received, tracked, stored, and shipped. This role supports the Purchasing Department by maintaining inventory accuracy and preventing loss or misplacement of materials. This position reports to the Project Procurement Buyer. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Inspect incoming goods for accuracy, damage, or discrepancies and report issues as needed
  • Accurately record and track all incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized within the warehouse
  • Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, including packaging and documentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and audits
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and project teams to ensure timely delivery and tracking of materials
  • Monitor and follow up on shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and carriers
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 1 year of shipping and receiving experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory tracking systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time position
  • 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday, with additional hours as needed)
  • On-site role in Nashville, TN
