Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Loader for a plastic utensils manufacturer and distributor in Torrance, CA. This is a temp-to-hire day shift position paying $16.90/hr. In this role, you will palletize finished goods, load and unload trucks, and move boxes throughout the warehouse.
Pay: $16.90/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
Location: Torrance, CA
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Primary workplace language(s): English / Spanish
Work Environment: Warehouse
Responsibilities
  • Palletize finished goods and stage them for shipment in the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks by hand or with manual equipment.
  • Move boxes and materials throughout the facility as directed.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized at the end of each shift.
  • Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures at all times.

Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ year of warehouse experience, including loading/unloading.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience palletizing finished goods in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other manual material-handling equipment.
  • Experience in a food-service, consumer goods, or plastics manufacturing warehouse.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, production-driven environment.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
  • You may be a great fit if you've held any of these titles: Lumper, Loader, Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, Order Selector, Warehouse Worker, Dock Worker, Production Associate, General Labor Warehouse.

Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and frequently.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.
