Job description

Job Summary:

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will be part of an agile team responsible for enhancing and delivering technology products related to cash settlement and SWIFT payment processing, while driving significant business impact through technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Provide vision and direction for engineering teams responsible for cash settlement and SWIFT payment processing platforms.
• Lead the transformation of legacy systems, promoting the adoption of cloud-native architectures and event-driven technologies (Java, Spring, AWS, Kafka, etc.).
• Act as a subject matter expert in cash settlement and SWIFT payment processing, ensuring solutions align with evolving business and operational needs. Experience with ISO20022 payment messaging standards is a plus.
• Utilize AI technologies to expedite technical project delivery and enhance platform capabilities.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, operations, and vendor partners to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative solutions.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
• Ensure all platforms and solutions comply with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Qualifications:
Required:
• Formal degree or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience in Software engineering and 2+ yrs in a leadership role
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, AWS, cloud platforms, and event-driven architectures (Kafka)
• Financial experience required
• Proven track record of modernizing complex legacy platforms and migrating to cloud-based solutions
• Experience using AI to accelerate technical project delivery
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred:
• Expertise in cash settlement, SWIFT payment processing, prime brokerage, securities processing, or a related domain is highly preferred
• Deep understanding of cash settlement, SWIFT, and ISO payment messaging standards is preferred
• Familiarity with post-trade processing such as clearing & settlement, books & records, corporate actions, and asset servicing is desirable
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
