Pay & Benefits:

Requirements:
  • High School or GED
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a shop environment working with hydraulic, electrical, and air pressure systems – heavy equipment, waste, & recycling services experience preferred
  • Driver’s License
  • Must provide and maintain basic hand and diagnostic tools necessary to perform the job
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.

As our next Diesel Mechanic, you'll be at the heart of our mission—keeping our street sweepers and equipment safe, reliable, and ready to serve the communities that depend on them. In this role, you’ll take ownership of inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, working hands-on with hydraulic, electrical, and air systems to ensure our fleet operates at peak performance.

The job responsibilities below outline the core duties and expectations of a position, providing clarity on how the role supports Company goals.   • Safety & Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of equipment and mechanical systems, follow all safety protocols (including lockout/tagout), and monitor lubrication, fluids, and equipment condition to prevent safety risks or failures.
  • Maintenance Execution: Complete assembly, repair, and preventive maintenance work with accuracy and attention to detail, following blueprints, specifications, and torque requirements to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
  • Equipment Operation & Diagnostics: Operate diagnostic tools, software, machinery, and hand tools safely and effectively to identify and repair mechanical issues on equipment such as sweepers, loaders, and backhoes.
  • Equipment & Material Handling: Safely handle parts, lubricants, and fluids; apply grease and oils correctly; and dispose of used materials in accordance with environmental and safety requirements.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork.
  • Adaptability & Reliability: Respond effectively to unexpected equipment issues, troubleshoot and problem-solve collaboratively, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
