Job description

Security Officer (Unarmed/Armed)

Pay: Unarmed Rate: $17-20/hr

Armed Rate $18-22.00/hr

Schedule: Looking for multiple Full-time and Part-time officers to fill positions as needed.

Location: Salt Lake County area

Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Accidental, Hospital, Critical Illness, Short/Long Term Disability, PTO, Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. (bilingual skills are a plus)
  • Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including walking up/downstairs, standing for extended periods, and maintaining full alertness throughout the shift.
  • Must possess sound judgement and decision-making skills in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Ability to meet grooming and professional appearance standards required for client-facing roles.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 10 lbs. as part of regular duties.
  • Strong observation and attention to detail skills, with the ability to identify and report security issues or safety hazards promptly.
  • Customer service orientation is highly desirable, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients, visitors, and the general public.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.

Duties:

Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and responding to potential threats. Duties include patrolling assigned areas, checking surveillance equipment, controlling access points, and deterring criminal activity. Security Officers are also expected to report incidents, assist in emergencies, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and property. They play a critical role in safeguarding assets and maintaining order.
