Familiarity with coding languages such as Java, Python, or C++, as well as experience with version control systems like Git, are commonly expected, and certifications in cloud platforms or software development can be beneficial. Job description

At SVE Autobody Specialists, we donโ€™t just repair vehiclesโ€”we restore them to a like-new or better condition. Specializing in premium and luxury vehicles, our reputation is built on precision, quality, and an exceptional customer experience. Every vehicle that leaves our shop reflects our standardsโ€”and thatโ€™s where you come in.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Detail Technician to join our team. This role is critical to our operationโ€”you are the final quality checkpoint before a vehicle is returned to the customer.
From pre-wash at intake to final polish and delivery-ready presentation, you ensure every vehicle is clean, refined, and visually flawless, with no visible signs of repair. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, trust, and reviews.
What Youโ€™ll Do
Vehicle Washing & Prep
  • Perform pre-wash at intake to support accurate inspections and estimates
  • Complete full exterior wash prior to final detailing
  • Prepare vehicles for photos, blueprinting, and repair processes
Detailing & Interior Cleaning
  • Complete full interior and exterior detailing
  • Vacuum, clean, and restore all interior surfaces
  • Clean glass, jambs, wheel wells, and all detailed areas
  • Remove dust, debris, and residue from repairs
Paint Refinement & Polishing
  • Machine polish repaired and adjacent panels
  • Remove swirl marks, sanding haze, scratches, and buffer trails
  • Ensure consistent gloss and seamless panel blending
  • Eliminate visible blend lines and transitions
Surface Decontamination
  • Remove overspray using proper techniques
  • Ensure all surfaces are smooth, clean, and contaminant-free
Final Delivery Preparation
  • Prepare vehicles to โ€œlike newโ€ or better condition
  • Apply finishing touches (tire shine, final wipe-down, finish enhancement)
  • Remove all masking materials and residues
Quality Control (Final Checkpoint)
  • Inspect vehicles under multiple lighting conditions
  • Verify:
    • Uniform gloss and finish
    • No visible defects, blend lines, or residue
  • Escalate any issues before delivery
Team & Workflow Support
  • Coordinate with production team and GM on priorities
  • Help maintain efficient workflow and on-time delivery
  • Communicate delays or issues proactively
Shop & Equipment Maintenance
  • Maintain detailing tools and materials
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Assist with basic facility upkeep (trash, light cleaning, lock-up)
What Success Looks Like
  • Zero customer complaints related to cleanliness or finish
  • No rework required (first-pass quality)
  • Vehicles delivered on time with a strong โ€œwow factorโ€
  • Consistent contribution to high customer satisfaction scores
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Experience in automotive detailing and polishing preferred
  • Knowledge of buffers, compounds, and paint correction techniques
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-first mindset
Why Join SVE Autobody?
  • Work on high-end and luxury vehicles
  • Be part of a quality-driven, professional team
  • Take pride in craftsmanship that customers notice immediately
  • Play a key role in delivering an elite customer experience
Benefits
  • Eligible for participation in company offered medical, dental and vision plans.
  • Eligible for paid time off.

If you take pride in perfection, notice what others miss, and want your work to stand out every single dayโ€”we want to hear from you.ย Apply today.
