About the Role:
The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a healthcare setting, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment. This position is responsible for managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring accurate and confidential processing of patient information. The Medical Receptionist coordinates communication between patients, medical staff, and administrative personnel to facilitate smooth daily operations. By maintaining organized records and managing front desk activities, this role supports the overall delivery of quality patient care. Ultimately, the Medical Receptionist contributes to a positive patient experience and the effective functioning of the medical office.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Administrative Assistant.
  • Experience with insurance billing and coding processes.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population.
  • Advanced proficiency in scheduling software and office management tools.
Responsibilities:
