Department
FSU Campus Sustainability
Responsibilities
Develops, implements, and manages related programs and initiatives in partnership with operational units and campus partners to help achieve sustainability targets, including waste minimization, energy conservation, resource stewardship, and educational integration. Assists with the management and guidance of operational activities that help create a culture of sustainability. Researches, recommends, and implements actions to address emerging issues and best practices.
Develop and maintain a process for data collection, storage and accessibility for all datasets that are identified as environmental and engagement metrics. Manages data acquisition and management of performance benchmarking and reporting portfolios. Perform analyses of key indicators and creates data visualizations. Works with communications team to provide interpretation of related topics through numerous outlets.
Lead the general management of the Office of Sustainability and take on new projects as identified in conjunction with the Director. Responsible for managing administrative, HR, and financial activities of Sustainable Campus outreach programs; provides budgetary oversight of related programs. Provides oversight to outreach curriculum development to align with overarching sustainability goals. Supports programmatic fundraising efforts. Supervises Sustainable Campus program staff and interns.
Manages Green Office certification program and associated trainings. Co-administers the Green Fund in support of campus sustainability projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years' experience related to administrative services or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with sustainability reporting tools (STARS, SIMAP, other); Experience with co-curricular student engagement programming; Strong communication skills and ability to build & maintain working relationships; Environmental science/studies or related degree; Knowledge of data analytics and visualizations.
