Job description

Sawa Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar is looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Hostess to join our front-of-house team for dinner service. Under new ownership, we are focused on creating a warm, professional guest experience from the moment guests walk through the door.


Schedule

Thursday – Sunday | 4:00 PM until closing

This is a part-time evening position focused on dinner service.

Key Responsibilities

•       Greet and welcome guests in a warm, professional manner

•       Manage reservations, waitlist, and seating to keep the dining room flowing smoothly

•       Coordinate with servers and managers on table availability and special requests

•       Answer phones and assist with to-go order inquiries when needed

•       Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area

•       Communicate clearly with the team throughout the shift

•       Provide excellent first and last impressions for every guest


Requirements

•       Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills

•       Ability to stay organized and calm during busy periods

•       Reliable and punctual

•       Available Thursday through Sunday evenings

•       Previous hostess, host, or customer service experience preferred

•       Ability to stand for extended periods
